Spring time! Het is lente!

Tramping / Hiking on Mount Auckland

Na veel weekenden met hevige regen konden we eindelijk eens een mooie wandeling maken op zaterdag. We hebben de melkschuimer ontdekt op onze koffiemachine en zijn de dag begonnen met een cappuccino. De tocht naar de top van Mount Auckland (ongeveer 25km buiten Auckland stad) ging door weilanden en door native bush met prachtige uitzichten. En aan het eind van de dag een bier met pizza en kumara frites. 

After many weekends with serious rainfall we finally had a nice sunny day to climb Mount Auckland on Saturday. We have discovered the milk frother on our coffee machine and started the day with a cappuccino. The trip to the top of Mount Auckland went through paddocks and native bush giving us some beautiful vistas. And of course beer and pizza at the end of the day, accompanied with a bowl of kumara fries.

Aan het eind van een concert van Lucinda Williams kwam Steve Earle (van Copperhead Road - klik hier) het podium op! Grote verrassing!
